when incorporating a business in Singapore
To register your company in Singapore you need to process the required documents via ACRA. You will need to provide:

  • Company name,
  • Details of shareholders,
  • Details of directors,
  • Registered business address,
  • Share capital details,
  • Company’s constitution.

Obtaining approval for the company name

Signing of incorporation document
When the company name is approved, the following documents should be prepared, signed and filed to ACRA:
  • Company Constitution,
  • Consent by each company director,
  • Consent by company secretary,
  • Declaration of the company’s controllers.

Depending on the activities that your business will be doing, you might also need to apply for business licenses. You will complete this process after registering your company and before starting your business.

Once all the documents are ready and signed, we can register your company with the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA). The process is fully digitalized and will take just a couple of hours.

ACRA will issue the following official documents:
  • e-Certificate of Incorporation. This is an official electronic document confirming the registration of a company in Singapore. The certificate shows the name of the company, the date of the incorporation, and the company registration number called Unique Identification Number (UEN). A hard copy of the certificate of incorporation is not issued by ACRA by default; it is not required in Singapore.
  • Business Profile (”Bizfile”). This document shows the corporate structure of the company. The information contained in the document includes the company’s primary business activity, registered address, details of shareholders and directors, and shareholding structure.The business profile is the identity card of the company.
  • Memorandum & Articles of Associations (“MAA”). A company’s constitution is a legal document that regulates the activities of the company. It outlines rules and procedures to govern the company; every company must ensure that the execution of their business is in consonance with its constitution.
